All the chicks are gone; we kept two which is MUCH more manageable.
I still have some seedlings, the chocolate pear cherry tomatoes are looking amazing!
Boat rental season is getting underway, go to Shop page or just give me a ring at 612-236-5308 to discuss.

Baby chicks are here but OH THE DRAMA. The game hen abandoned the nest and another silkie started to set in her place, then the two silkies started hatching their clutches at the same time. It was an extended hatch and the babies kept leaving one sitting silkie momma for the other dominant hen, who then began repeatedly pecking the tiny babies weren’t hers. I was trying to keep them segregated but the dominant momma was being so aggressive I had to put her outside today and let the docile silkie hen take over. She is SO MAD. Photos and counts to come!

After a long winter our 1966 O’Day Mariner is in the water for the season and ready for sailboat rental.
We also are anticipating we will have bantam chicks for sale in about 6 weeks. One grey bantam silkie and one bantam black breasted red english game hen are each sitting on a clutch; our rooster is a very calm and quiet bantam buff brahma. We’ll candle next week and see how many babies might arrive!
I’ve been busy in the greenhouse and I’m hoping to have some tomatoes, tomatillos, and flower seedlings for sale in a few weeks.
More soon!
